The first week of class was very interesting. It was very exciting and fun. I was shocked at how quickly we were allowed to wonder off with the cameras and begin shooting footage. Even though it is only the first week I can already tell that this is going to be an amazing semester with Ram TV. I really like the way the class is very loving and everyone seems to get along. And I also like the fact that Mrs. L is allowing us to be semi-grown ups and make the majority of the decisions ourselves. I look forward to what next week and weeks in the future have to hold!!! ♥
This week has been extraordinary! At first I was apprehensive and a little scared, but you (Mrs. LaFrancis) turned out to be amazing. I loved all of the freedom, and I enjoy working with people who really like to get their work done. There has been no procrastination or drama within the class and I am having a really good time. I truly do look forward to going to this class each and every day. We are able to be laid back, like we discussed on the second day, but we are also able to be serious when we need to be and get our work and our filming done. I really appreciate this class and the people in it. It is going to be an amazing seventeen weeks and a fantastic Ram TV session.
this week has been a experience I have loved working with the camerss, getting to throw some of my ideas out there and just plain have some fun with this class.I am looking forward to next week! Our production is under way and every one is working hard to meet deadline, yesterday I went to get Mrs. Adams interview and realized how hard it was to be serious and professional when directly talking to the person and sometimes you forget what you are about to say! so to end this weeks blog I would like to say I can't wait to learn other stuff dealing with producution!
I really thought that this week we were going to be just sitting around like in all other classes. But that’s not what happened at all. I liked the way we just got the cameras out and started using the instead of having to listen to some teach us how to use them. It is easier for me to learn how to use something if I have it in my hand teaching myself. I think that this semester is going to be really good because we all get along most of the time and all have great ideas. I think that we really got a lot accomplished for one week and just learning how to use the cameras.
The first week of class was a learning experience already. The first day took getting used to because I was not used to be around some of the people that are in the class. After we were split up into groups with people outside of our comfort zone I actually began to feel comfortable. My group with Mac and Trey was a lot of fun. I think something that helped me become more comfortable in front of the camera was the fact that I was with two boys who didn't want to be in front of the camera either. Doing the commercials on Wednesday was so much fun. I worked with my two boys again which I enjoyed a lot. Thursday was the first day we actually worked on footage for a show. I didn't get in front of the camera, but I really enjoyed recruiting freshman and teachers to interview, helping get things ready for the filming, and being behind the scenes. I think the week went well. One thing that I think needs to be improved on is organization. I think we need to have a game plan to help get the needed tasks tackled.
I believe this will be a very creative and productive class than the previous Ram TV staff. I've learned that the students are responsible for all material on Ram TV and the teacher is only the adviser. I liked working with the camera and learning all about it and getting dressed up and being our natural goofy selves. Shooting the commercial taught us that we need to plan out our script before we actually go in front of the camera. Performing interviews this first week really gave us a sense of how the whole class will be; We will be out in the school a lot with our creative ideas and come back to put together an entire show. We still have a lot of learning but I am very excited for this class. I have no problem being in front of the camera and behind it as well. Not only will this class make me a better public speaker, but also get me involved with the actual production of a television program.
