Week Three September 8 - 12

Well, you survived your first CTJM! So, tell me your thoughts about how things were going prior to yesterdays meeting and of course after the meeting.

Overall, we are on the right track. You got your first kudos (Mrs. Redmond) and that’s fab…and we are still percolating…

You know the drill:
- what did you learn this week?

- what changes will the group make before the next filming, segments, etc

- what went really well?

- what still needs work?

- what else?

-You have 15 days until the Broadcast – whadayatink?

I think that the meeting was well needed. Since the meeting it seems like we are coming together as a team. I was not the only one cleaning up yesterday, everyone picked up what was being needed to be picked up. The meeting really did not phase me because I knew it was constructive criticism and we were to take what you said and work harder at those aspects.

This week I learned that teamwork is a must in this class. When Amanda and I were unable to find a tape that wold work, I called Lane and he was willing to come to film us and help out.

Since the meeting we have been a powerhouse. We are able to say, this is what needs to be done, now lets get it done. Having a 'to do' list helps see what we can get done done in a day. Not only are we deciding on what to do on the first show, we are also filming ahead of time.

The tricycle segment went well. We broke up and beasted the task that we had in front of us. We also got interviews done.

Time management still needs work. Many times we can dwell on one subject and then be like, "ok guys we need to go film something," but never get it filmed

This week has been very productive and has proved that we are coming together as a team.

I am excited about October 3rd! Each part of the show that gets done, makes me anticipate the show even more.

This week, I've learned that when Mrs. LaFrancis gets serious, she gets serious. I've also learned that I'm way to big to ride a tricycle.

We have to do some more filming and editing before the first episode of Ram TV.

I think that the Intro went really well.

We still need to learn how to work together.

That's about it.

I think we can get everything done, and then some.

I think that this week was incredibly productive, pretty much all of what we filmed will make it on the final show. I think it worked well because we split up and its easier to compromise with people in smaller groups. The tricycle thing went okay I guess, I'll have to see it all edited to see if it will be funny. Harry Caray went HILARIOUSLY well, it will be amazing. Our meeting was good, and much needed. I just can't wait until the first episode is all edited and ready, and we can start doing work on other stuff. It will be rad, needless to say.

Well before the meeting I thought things were going pretty great. We got things done, for the most part, we were on task and productive. After the meeting it was pretty much the same we didn't let it get us down and we worked harder than ever.

This week I learned that you can't get anything accomplished without teamwork and helpful classmates.

Umm...the tricycle segment went great we divided into groups and got the task done quickly. The Harry Caray interviews went great as well.

Some are still a little off task at times but it's getting better and we're on task the majority of the time.

I think the broadcast is going to be good we real close to being completely with the first show and we have some ideas for the following shows...so it's all good. I can't wait until the first show...YAY!!!

I think the meeting brought us closer together. I learned that I can ride a tricycle like nobodys business.

Some of the changes might be with the interviews? I'm not sure what's really going on there right now because people keep changing their minds.

The tricycle went the best! I had so much fun making other people not in ramtv jealous, cause I know they were.

Filming needs work. We need to get it all together and finish the things we have done so we can start puting the show together.

Dear LaFranny,

I think we are getting behind on everything. The CTJM meeting was good for us, set somethings straight and kinda put everyone into place. Well until we step out of place again and need another.

We definitely need to remember mics. =, so that we don't have to sprint the school because we forgot. We also need to remember to stay more on task and not get distracted as often as we do.

I think we're starting to get to know each other a little better and thats a huge plus.

Mainly the only thing we need help with is just actually starting to really buckle down and start getting the show together.

I think ...
welll..
um..
i think we need some work..

I thought the meeting was unexpected, but I dont think it applied to me so much because the issues she was talking about didnt concern me directly.

I learned that it really does help to label the tapes we use because so many of them look alike that its easy to get them mixed up. And that we should plan things out before we just jump in and try to get things done.
Also, when you go out to film, bring extras, because either the tape is messed up, the mics out of batteries, or the camera is dead, theres always a problem it seems.

But the tricycle segment was ok i think, even though i was too big to pedal, and i had to scoot around.

I think we are behind on the first show, and the fact we have to start planning for the next makes it worse, but who knows, we might have a decent show.

Well i think that the meeting scared me a lot, because of well i wet the floor, remember that? also i think that the come to jesus meeting should be called come to flying spaghetti monster meeting, b/c well FSM is cool. I learned this past week that editing and getting the show together in iMovie can be very frustrating and oh yeah getting my blog in on time can be frustrating too, because i was going to do it at work, but forgot and remembered monday morning. I personally dont think there should be any changes to filming for the next show at all, because it seemed that everyone got a long and the filiming went fairly decent. Things that went well, hm...... i'd have to say filming, getting the Harry Caray interviews done and all that jazz. my blogging skillz still need work, or well remembering to do my blog on time, and oh yeah editing, cause that takes forever. Well i really have nothing else to say except that um................ parcheesy anyone? And oh yeah the whole 15 days till the show airs, yeah i deffinately need to like work on the editing every day that i can and every second that i can, thats called devotion.

The meeting helped us understand that this is a class just like any other class in Highland. We are on the right track but we like to stop a lot and do nothing or just goof off. We need to start working more and not think that this show will make its self. We have had 3 weeks in this class and all we have is so of the video that we need and so of it edited. We need to start thinking of this as a class and not a study hall that we can goof off in.
I learned that sometimes someone is going to have to get up and tell people what to do so that no one is just sitting around.
We need to chage how fast stuff need to get done.
We did a good job this week of getting this show in order.
We need to start geting faster at makeing a show.
15 days should be more then enough time to get this done and the next 2 shows hopefully.
