Week 2 - Spring 09 February 6th

1/12 of the Dirty Dozen,

What went well this week?

What could have gone better?

Think about the RamTV staff team, what are our strengths and challenges?

Now look at yourself, what strength(s) do you bring to the staff? What one area do you need to work on to further strengthen the team?

Are there obstacles in the near future...the first broadcast is quickly approaching. What stands in your way? What will you do as an individual to prevent a failure?

Think about the goal (for the first show) – what does this say about the new RamTV staff?

What are you most proud of relating to this week of class?

Anything else….

<3, Ms. L

This week we got more accomplished than i actually thought that we would. We got our intro for the new RamTv Staff, the pledge, and some lead ins. Everything is going together great and its fun for me now. The only thing that i think could have gone better or actually smooooother was when we went to film the pledge and lost it the first and second time because of bad tapes, but in the end I got a new tape and recorded some good footage. In order to stregnthn the team, i need to participate a little more and show everyone how creative i can be. The only obstacles that stand in the way of our first show is the filming, we need to get it all in and edited to be ready for the first show, as an individual, i will do my best to make ready for the show and not waste any time. Our goal for the first show is to really blow the first semester out of the water and show our fellow peers that were different and we can do a better job. Relating to this week of class, im proud of myself because im starting to come out of the box and not be so camera shy.

This week the whole show was ready to go and a lot of progress was made on it.

Teamwork, acceptance, breakfast.

We Have differences, important differences that either need to be resolved or worked around. I'm into people being individuals so I think we will work around. However difficult it may be.

I have some ideas, I have some skill, I have a big head (not in the knows it all way, in a literal sense although I can be a bit lame sometimes.)

We need to work on teamwork, we all function; just not to the best of our ability.

The goal is to make a generic show (says some) and that is exactly what we're doing. We're still inside quite a few boxes. It says that we're relatively bland but we know what we are doing.

I'm most proud of the willingness of fellow members of the dude group to stay after school and work on some material that we approve of so we can at least say "hey, I did something I liked doing" at least once so that we can go on under rule to keep the peace.

Jesus be with us, forreal though. We're going to need it.

This week was a good week. I feel that for this being our first week recording, that we got a lot of things done. I just wish that the group would work out thing better. I heard a lot of ideas, but some were not used. I think that since we have such a blind of students, that we should many ideas that will reach out to many groups. Like we have punk rockish people in the school and we have punk rockish people in the group that can reach out to them. Our group has every type of person in it and we should take advantage of the fact that we can reach out to just about anybody's type. I feel that I was able to help wherever was needed. I'm one that basically will go with anything cause it's just not my show, but it's the group show and some need to see that. I need to learn to speak up more on an idea I may have and not just let it pass by. I need to let my creativity pour out and show we I can do. I just hope that we get everything done on time. The show after our first show, we'll have less time. We'll have that Wednesday and then need to be done by the next Wednesday. We took basically the whole week to record and I know we'll need time to edit and then the Wednesday when it needs to be turned in, it should be done and all we would have to do it view it. I'll make sure that I stand up and fill in spots during down time. It's a lot of us and we can accomplish everything quickly if all of us work on things at the same time. I want the staff to be able to stay busy all the time and finish everything give a hundred in everything they do. That will show that their hard working and truly wanna create a great show. I'm proud that I was able to be wherever the group needed me. I'm always willing to help as long as my portion is done.

This week went really well we were able to get a lot of filming done this week. I was able to interview Mr. Barkley which is good, even though I was out of my element I still had fun. I think that we could've gotten a lot more filming done if we didn't have so many technical difficulties but this stuff just happens and there's not much we can do about it. Our strengths are that we are all very creative and hard working, so we will be able to get more work done instead of sit around and not really do much of anything. Our challenges are that since we all are very creative that means that sometimes some peoples ideas won't be put to use and so that would probably cause conflicts cause some feelings would get hurt. One of my strengths would be helping come up with ideas for what we could do in a show, and also to help organize and decide what we are gonna film on what days. One thing I need to work on would be to be louder and not be so shy anymore. When I was interviewing Mr. Barkley we went back over the tape and you could barely hear me so I had to redo it and make sure I was louder. The only obsticles that I can think of right now would be technical difficulties because so far thats the only thing that has gotten in our way. As an individual I will try to make sure that if there is a tape that I that doesn't work I will get rid of it so that no one else will get that tape. The goal for the 1st show shows you that we aren't gonna make the same mistake as last semester. We are gonna work hard and make sure that RamTV is better this semester. I am very proud of everyone in this class because we were able to get so much done this past week and hopefully we will be able to get more done in the following weeks

I think we were really productive this week. After the first few days, I was really excited about the show because I thought we brainstormed together really well and we planned a lot, which I think is necessary. I did notice, however, that some people feel like their ideas aren't being heard and the show isn't funny enough. When we were brainstorming, I tried to listen to everyone and I apologize if it may have seemed as if I dismissed anyone's idea. I made an effort to include everyone and asked for people's comments. I don't understand why people are having negative feelings about the dynamic of the group at the moment. I think if something happens and you don't feel like your idea is being heard or appreciated, you should say something right then and confront it instead of talking about it with only a couple people and "pouting" about it. I also want to apologize if I came off as bossy or cocky. I don't think I'm better than anyone in that classroom. If I ever come across that way it's probably because I want to get things done and always be productive. I don't consider my ideas above anyone else's. And I do not think I'm perfect, far from it. I just want things to be the best we can make them. Anyway, I just wanted to clear some of those things up. Most of you know how I am, but I feel misunderstood a lot of the time. It really bothers me when people look at me as "smart" and stereotype me as an "over achiever" or something. I'm not that smart guys, I just try hard and I care. But most of you know these things. Anyways, back to RamTv...I think the first show will be a big success because of all the planning we did and because the majority of us are motivated to get things done. Most of the problem's we're having at the moment are purely technical, which will probably be the most frustrating thing for us this semester. But overall, I'm really proud of our class for pulling this off like we are.

A lot of things went good this week. As a whole class everyone seems to be working well together and on task. Im really surprised of how fast we are pulling this show together, and how much we have learned in these two weeks. Some things that could have went better was the tapes, and filming. It seems like our tapes mess up at the time when we need them. Some other things that stand in our way is filming the rest of the show. We got the pledge, lead ins, intro, and some of stennis footage done. We got a little more and all will have to come together and get it done in time. Other problem is that some people fell left out, or there ideas people say there lame. This is a problem because all of us need to get along, and hear everyones ideas, plans, and everything if it may been lame. We have an opportunity at the being of class to say what's on our minds, but none speaks up, if people are feeling left out, and etc... they need to speak up. This class has been together for 3 and a half years none should be shy about standing up or saying if there is a problem among us. Although there will always be a little drama we will have to work through it, i know this class, and we will be a good Ram TV staff, and nothing will brother us or tear us apart. Ram TV is great, but is a team effort, there's no i in team or no i in Ram TV. All of us have to be on task and ready to do anything to make the show deadline. As an individual I will do my best to get on task, and help the others with what ever they may need, if that is filming, editing, or etc.. Also im opening up more, and trying to throw ideas out there, and not be shy. I think i can help Ram TV better by being on task, helping others, and coming up with good ideas for shows. As the first show is coming up i'm excited, i think we will do good. I know the first show will be an ice breaker, and other shows will follow and get better as long as the staff stays together. We don't want to sink like last semester and i don't think we will. Chris Henry, Chris Withers, and I started plaining already for the second show. Everyone is bursting with ideas as long as it stays like this we will broadcast a lot of shows.
Our class is really coming along, and the class and first show is looking good. Im excited and cant wait for what unfolds the rest of the year.

The team work went well, we did a lot together and got a lot done. I love the enthusiasm of getting the show up and running. Some problems were had because we are different people and have different tastes in things. So we need to band together and work it out. We are cool with each other. I think I bring funny and wit to this team. I need to be more productive. We can learn by trial and error. I am proud that I started planning on the next show, I am proud of my self.

This week we worked hard, and we got a lot of things done. I think that is what went well, also, we were able to start planning for our next show. I think what would have gone better is if we knew which tapes to use and which tapes not to use because what went wrong was typically tapes that were messing up. Our strengths are that so far we can work together really well, and our class has people that actually want to get stuff done. Some of the challenges are trying to get along in times of stress, because its really hard for us to get along when things are stressful. Obstacles are possible because this is just the first week so I think there will be some obstacles. I think the strengths I bring is the fact that I will work hard and I always ask if someone needs me to do something. I think that the first show, will show how hard our class will work on each show. I am proud of how much we have gotten done.

This week I felt like this week is a lot better because we all got to work together more and we got a lot of stuff done that I didn't think that we would finish in time. I think that something we could of done better is were more open with others ideas because I think that we didn't take others into consideration when we were making the timeline. I think that the biggest strength that I am bring to the group is kinda a leader, I don't want to be the leader all the time but maybe just on this particular show I am the leader because I am the lead editor. I need to work on being a better team player, excepting other peoples ideas. I think a obstacle we are about to have to overcome is getting the show done in time. Individuals will not fail because if individuals do then most likely we all will. I am pretty proud of this last week because we got what we needed to get done done but we gotta work really hard this week.

We got most of the segments recorded. We got our fluff finished with stennis so that was a mojor plus. I was absent on friday but i was told that the only thing we needed to finish was the kill of ram tv segment. There were a couple people who felt as if since they didnt get to contribute they really didnt want to do anything but i think that if they would have participated when ms L told them to in the beginning we wouldnt have had these problems. I would have been alot better if they had of worked with us all along. I am organized and i keep people motivated, im good with the camera on and off the scenes. If im pushed i can have an attitude so i need to make sure i dont let myself slip. Yes we need to work as a team on the show an speak out our ideas so we wont be left out. The only thing that would stand in our way is if we dont get the last segment recorded today and technical difficulties of course. Help where ever im needed because i really am not assigned anything else. It say that we have the inititive and we want to see it thought but we must stay on task to succeed. That for the most part we got all the taping finished other that the kill ram tv segement which only happend because of technical difficulties. Oh i forgot and the lead in becuase the tapes would work. I think that if we buckle down today and tomarrow we will get finished.

This week was a great week for Ram TV. We exceeded expectations but also over came many difficulties. I played a role in our first show and I would like to thank my classmates for the idea.

I wish the equipment would have worked better so we wouldn't get so far behind.

We have many creative people but sometimes people are too quiet in class discussions. We still are a team and plan on working hard for the remainder of the semester.

I think that I bring humor and creativeness to the team. I'm known school-wide for being funny, so I will use that to my advantage for the show. Something I need to work on is filming. As Ms. L would say, I have a "crack-hand" and thats not good for filming.

There aren't any major obstacles yet, so I think were prepared for our first show. To prevent failure, I will do anything Ms. L or my staff needs me to do to make this season of Ram TV successful.

We are motivated to bring Ram TV back to the top!

I'am most proud with my freshman feature because everything turned out good and the class really supported me.

I LOVE MS. L ;)
