the best thing about this week, seeing as it was two weeks ago, i'd have to say it was the commercial, and the veiwing thereof. So much fun to be had in those commercials. and some very incriminating outtakes...
The not so good thing, that 11:45 bell, and not knowing if it's 11:45 or 11:50. just kidding... probably knowing that the hammer was about to be dropped on the announcements, and knowing that we had like zip time to make things presentation ready.
I am optimistic about broadcasts. (although hindsight will tell otherwise) I see little room for failure, and i feel that we can "psych" it up.
some concerns. will we have time to get things perfect? i know they won't be amazing, but i hope we can keep our necks above the water in these first few weeks. i think we can do it.
a nice quote on the subject of keeping your head above the water
"in this life, you look down, you're dead. you look to your left, you're dead. you stop swimming for one second, and you're sucked under to die. this is a struggle. welcome."
Well, I guess I have to remember back to two weeks ago. It wasn't that far back, but I hope I can recall most of the things we did.
Well of course the best thing about two weeks ago were filming and viewing the commercials. It was my first time using and being on camera, and I actually noticed all the weird quirks about myself. For example, I fidget a lot, I swivel, and I talk with my hands too much. It felt awkward seeing myself on camera, but I hope I can make a vast improvement in time for the big show in 2 weeks. My all time favorite thing that I did actually caused our very first "Come To Jesus" meeting. Making that random moments video was hilarious. I got to ham it up in front of the camera, even though I kind of went a little two far(flipping the bird to the camera). It was so much fun, even though we kind of got scolded for not being on task.
Honestly, I really can't think of anything negative about that week. Trust me, I'm not sucking up, everything went pretty smoothly. The only thing I can say that slightly aggravated maybe redoing the commercial. I don't know if that was two weeks ago though. I guess I kind of suck at remembering things.
Well for the live broadcast, I need to go back to how I felt two weeks ago since we already did two of them. I'm not going to lie, I'm terrified of the broadcast. I'm afraid of what everyone else is going to think, and if I can be able to perform well when I have to do something almost perfectly.
The best thing about this week was that I got to learn about all the in's and out's of RamTV. I learned what everything was, the sound board, the video switcher, cameras, batteries, etc. It was great to work with all my peers.
Some things that didn't go well, were that it was the first time doing things, and learning all the different setups, so including myself, and others screwed up a little bit. I wouldn't say it's a bad thing, more of a good thing. It gave us all a chance to learn from it.
I wasn't scared at all coming into RamTV I knew what was going to basically go on. Make videos, edit them, blah blah. I was surprised to find out that there would be some changes. Changes are something everyone has to get through, so I was alright with it.
Oh wow, well honestly I don’t remember. Then again, I don’t even remember what I had for dinner last night…or even if I had dinner. Just Saying. So, I guess I’ll just try and think about it? The second week in RamTV was pretty good, very useful. I was somewhat introduced to the equipment, and got an idea of what was expected of me. I say somewhat because I am honestly still learning new things about the equipment every day. So, the not so good thing about the week was that I didn’t learn a lot about the equipment. Also, I learned I have a very bad case of crack hands. How I felt about the live broadcast was nervous, unsure, and just really glad that I wasn’t the first one going. I’m mostly just concerned with the anchors, and that something will just go wrong. Like, when it’s my turn to go in the chair, I will just stumble through everything. Luckily, I have the opportunity to watch and example of someone else going first. I am like Amanda, in that I like to watch and then do something.
Many learning experiences can be deemed as either good or not-so-good, but this week was for the most part full of good ones. The camera malfunctions, however, were the not-so-good parts.
The upcoming broadcasts are an obstacle we can surmount. Nothing to pysch ourselves up or down about. 8)
The best thing about this week was learning the equipment and seeing everyone's cool skills show. Nothing bad has happened so far. Everything is goingpretty smooth. I have no concerns about the live broadcasts I think we can handle everything pull everything together.
The best thing I learned about this week is that I will be one of the first Anchor with jason.
The worst thing that I learnd is that I have to switch jobs. Means I'll be doing a different job each week, which doesn't sound fun for me.
The live brodcast that is coming up, from what I think is could and probably will be really fun. We get to start the new trend for the ram tv after us. I think it will go well, the only thing that I think might not be good is that everyone will be nervous.
