Please give me your definition of professionalism as it relates to RamTV, in contrast give me your definition of unprofessional behavior relating to the class as well.
Professionalism plays a big part in this class as well as in life. If two workers cannot have a profressional attitude of work ethic and respect between them, then nothing will get done the way it should. Acting like a professional in RAM TV makes a lot of sense considering it is our "job" after all. This is what we have been trained to do for 3 years. The main part of professionalism that this class has lacked is being able to constructively criticize. Taking every comment as a personal attack isn't being profressional. At the beginning of the year everybody got along great and as the year progressed, we kind of let our barriers down and got a lot more comfortable in the classroom. However, this led to a much more unprofessional work ethic and it could have cost the class a lot more than it already did.
Professionalism- is the actions of a person who is in a professional setting. This can be anything from the way you say something to what you say. To be professional is to be a mature adult. Unprofessionalism- is anything from being rude to being annoying. slacking off is also another thing that goes along with unprofessionalism. unprofessionalism could alos be if a person ask you a question, a serious one, you getting smart or having an attitude would be unprofessional.
Professional bahavior in this class would be respecting that we are a representaion of Highland and everything we do will reflect not only us but our school. We should respect teachers when we need to go film, like being quiet or trying not to interupt a class.
Unprofessional behavior in this class would be being immature, doing sloppy work, being loud in the hallways, and not representing Highland in a positive way with RamTv, and just to say i think we are pretty good at being professional with RamTV.
The act of professionalism in RamTv means to have the skill to communicate with your classmates in a clear and effective way. In order to communicate in a clear and an effective way you have to make sure that you remember to respect your classmates opinions and then work together and come to an agreement so that no one has a problem and we can all say thay we had a part in the creation of the show.
Unprofessional behavior means that you never agree with anyone and you create a conflict just because you don't get what you want.
professonalism is what should be shown in class and in the business world. i believe its the way u handle a situation (communication w/ classmates, working w/ others, etc...) and act mature about it and then learn from it. everybody is in the process of working on being more professional and i think itll do nothing but good for us down the road.
on the other hand acting unprofessional can be taken many different ways. acting negative when someone tells u to do something, or back talking someone. its taking all the professional ways of acting in class an turning them COMPLETELY AROUND NEGATIVELY
Professionalism is a must for Ram TV. It's a combination of class and respect. Our teachers have tried to teach it to us but have obviously failed for some of us. In Ram TV, professionalism means completing one's job without BMWing and completing it to the best of one's ability. Professionalism also means appropriate communication. This means that one talks what is necessary and no more. I have a long way to go before I can appropriately embody this definition.
Unprofessionalism is lack of all that I have stated above. It is laziness, procrastination, and losing focus of the big picture (in Ram TV, the show).
Proffesionalism: The ability to work with ANYONE reguardless of character traits, in a manner that effectivly gets things done with minimal conflict.
Unproffesionalism: How our class acts towards eachother because we have yet to figure out the effective way to effectivly get things done with minimal conflict.
In this class we SHOULD be able to treat eachother with respect, talk to eachother without being tools, know eachothers work ethics and be able to cope and work around/with those ethics, be organized, and get things done in a timely manner. I mean we get things done, but it tends to only be a few of us doing the "getting" part and it's often stressful.
Professionalism in our class is being able to be civil to one another and not get an attitude everytime someone ask you a question or ask you to do something especially when it is something important for the class jsut politely give your response or say no im sorry i can't do that then accept the answer. unprofessional is when your asked to do something you huff and puff about it and BMW about it, its really like we are 5 again it is also unprofessional to argue about things when we all need to get this done for the class.
Professionalism is being able to work with each other in a civil manner, regardless of how much we like each other, and still be able to get the work done. Unprofessional behavior is how we've all acted sometimes in the class, and basically the opposite of the definition I just gave. We've all been guilty of it, but from what I've seen with some parents, is that there is drama like this no matter where you're at it and its just part of the work place, no matter how professional you try to keep it.
Professionalism: to demonstrate or to have the expertise and characteristics of a profession. In the case of RamTV its knowing your job roles and following through with them no matter what.
Unprofessionalism: we can be unprofessional sometimes. like the deffinition says you need to have the expertise of a certain profession. That means you have to know what your doing.
Example: like filming all day and then you come back with a bad tape, its not your fault all the time. but you should be prepared you should check the tapes and know wheter or because a professional would do that. It has happened to me before, and now I check my tapes before I go film.

Professionalism as it relates to RamTV - getting the job done in an efficient manner, putting ALL differences aside, being open minded.
Unprofessional behaviour relating to the class as well - talking down to each other, not stepping up to perform a task, lack of respect.
'nuff said.
