At the moment I am frustrated with the continued lack of work in the studio from certain parties. Please put aside your frustration about equipment and think about only the work that occurs in the studio each day.
Step into the roll of the advisor for a moment and consider the following:
-grades have dropped and will continue to do so.
-class meetings have occurred
-teacher and student individual conferences
-reminders have been given (both face to face and in the form of "things to do board"
What is the next step?

I think that the next step would be specifically telling the "piggy backing" individuals that they can no longer work with the other person individually, unless needed. Also if lack of participation is still a problem then they should have to do book work to maybe open their eyes.
I think that the next step would be to tell that certain person that their doing absolutely nothing and that they need to step there game up and do something. Nuff' said.
Well in my opinion i think you've done a pretty good bit to fix these triffling kids, so i think there is no other option but to just give those triffling kids a job on the side so that us who do work can continue to work while that person/persons are doing something productive also. I mean its obviouse that the show can be done without these people, because it has in the past. So pretty much give them something where they can do their thing and let us do ours.
I think the next step is that we stop letting the certain people who goof off and make them actully do something. Make them get up and stop following people and learn to be more self-suffecent.

So, I think the next step would be to tell that certain person to stop clinging to everybody's arm and start doing things on their own. It IS obnoxious when there is someone always doing nothing when everybody else is doing their own work. We are seniors and not invalids. So, some people need to pick it up and start acting our age.
I believe the next step is to make the people who are slacking off and doing nothing, to make something or get them to help in the class. There are some people who are diong more than their own fair load and some who bearly do their own load. The work load in the course should be more even and should be enforced that way.
I believe that some people are really enabling others to have nothing to do accept help in library. Some people are taking to much time on editing what they have filmed and it holds up the people putting the show together. Also some people are doing PSA which takes up the computers to where others cant get work done for the next show which drags everyones grades down.
I am in Ms. L's shoes as the advisor.
I'm frustrated to see that some parties in RamTV aren't getting any benefit from the class or from the other people in the class.
Now I'm Krystin again.
If there's piggybacking, everybody in the class sees the sources and should be able to help or stop this from happening without having to be told what to do, like some of us should probably step up and say "why do you need to go with that person?" or "what are you doing?" and then maybe the piggybacker in question will realize his or her mistake and say, 'oh noo my bad! I didn't realize I was one of the piggybackers! thank you ever so much!' and then if that doesn't work I guess we all just should take on a little more when we divvy up the workload, because we're supposed to all sail into the sunset together or sink the ship, right? If some people don't understand the idea of taking one for the team and actually getting off their mousse-clickin butts to give an assist, maybe we should show them by example..(:
Naturally I have noticed the lack of work going on, but at this point I don't think there is anything that can be done about it, if those in question have not realized the error of their ways then too bad for them. Their grades will continue to drop and they will barely pass or fail. It's tough, but it's the way the world works. I tend to be very individualistic in nature think that too much blame is put on "enablers" because ultimately, it's the "enabled"'s own fault for not pulling their weight, not anyone else's. I would rather enable someone to fail and do more work myself than sacrifice putting the show in the hands of a slacker, because it won't get done, or wont get done right, which will bring the overall content of the show down and make everyone (even those that pull their weight) look bad as a team.
Perhaps those that are slacking and enabling themselves to be enabled will learn from this (this is still school, and school is about learning, right?) and be able to make changes in their lives/jobs/careers, if not, then that's too bad for them, they will fail at life as well, because they should have pulled their weight.
Ok, well that's a little long on the matter, but that's my 2 cents.
Well said Krystin and Seth!!!
