Professionalism to me is getting done what you need to get done without goofing off. I got the lead ins done before anything else has been done for our last show. Professionalism is being alert to everything going on in the studio. Yes, we have a good time in here and a good time filming. But I think sometimes we lack professionalism and are too focused on making someone laugh and that can take away from the content. I know that while filming the weather, whoever it was, would be too concerned with the humor than the content-and I am guilty of this too. Unprofessional behavior is when half of our class goes and sits in the library because there's another class in there when there is work to be done.

Professionalism would have to do with being a professional... which would mean work would have to be done in a professional manner; meaning that there can't be any half-baked work, no slipshoddy products, it has to be of quality. It also means there cannot be slacking when there is work to be done as well as being turned in on time. Without professionalism, we'd be a bunch of monkeys on computers attempting to run a tv program.

Professionalism to me is getting done what you need to get done. I believe you are allowed to have fun with it along the way and goof off sometimes. Sometimes being serious all the time is unprofessional and is not being true to who you really are. If you can be yourself and get your work done I believe that is professionalism at its best. If you can't enjoy your work then your work will show that.

I already know folks don't find me professional.
"Professionalism to me is getting done what you need to get done without goofing off"
I find professionalism to be performing your assignments on time with a mature attitude.
I'm aware i goof off, and some may find that to be immature and now see me as hypocritical... but you can get ur work done and enjoy doing it at the same time while being "mature/professional"

Professionalism - the standing, practice, or methods of a professional, as distinguished from an amateur.

I see our class as a bunch of amateurs, i really do. thats what we are. the only professional is L. but what can cause conflicts are the amateurs trying too hard to be a "professional", and forget to be themselves. I feel the best way to exemplify Professionalism is by staying true to yourself and your work.

(this comment is a mess. my bad.)

Professionalism to me would be on task, always serious and getting things done on time. Even if you don't like a project, you HAVE to do it anyways because you need it to be done. When you're on task and do everything you're suppose to do, you'll be finished super early and wouldn't have to stress to finish something. Some unprofessional behavior would be procrastinating on a project, because I procrastinated on the talented students segment and I had to run around to get everything done and edit it real soon. Me and Alexis tagged team it while I did live and she would edit while I did live. So, we got it done in time.

I think in the RamTV enviroment, professionalism is respect. If you respect others, (something im guilty of not doing) then you will have a professional atituded in the class. Examples of unprofessionalism would be not getting your work done, but by disrespecting others not only is your segment / job going to be terrible, but you're going to be bringing everyone else down aswell.

Professionalism, The act of getting the job done, done right, taking responsible for any mishaps that might have been your fault. I believe everyone in our class has practiced this. Maybe not all the traits but we've done whats expected at this age, created a product and got it done most of the time "on time." Unprofessionalism, not taking responsibility, waiting until the last minute to work on a product, or goofing off as in doing things that dont relate to the our show or live. For our type of class a little goofing off is ok as long as we are on task, I mean were seniors we need a little bit of a laugh every now an then. :)

Professionalism to me is not goofing off soo much to where everyone is off task and not focusing on the job that needs to get done. Also is speaking and treating anyone we come in contact with in the school as if they were above us "Professionally," with respect and proper behavior. Unprofessionalism is basically not staying on task, being late with everything, doing a half-hearted job, slacking off (our "senioritis") Yes a little fun and laugh is always needed especially when we are all tense but not every second of the class is needed, we need to be serious and know what we want to produce.

I don't feel that professionalism is "getting done what you need to get done" at all. Part of it is accomplishing your goal, but mostly it's the way you do something. It's talking in a formal manner and dressing in business clothes. I hate professionalism. But in relation to the class, I don't think that is what you're referring to. What

I believe you mean unprofessionalism is behaving like we're still in middle school by throwing around plastic eggs and other random things. And that professionalism in this class is more about simply being mature enough to enjoy ourselves while still getting our work finished and not taking advantage of the leniency of the class.

To me professionalism is a person’s overall attitude, cooperation, and effort they put into a product for the class. For example a person who shows professionalism keeps a neutral attitude throughout the class and tries to help out as much as possible in order to produce a good product. A product of this class that comes from good professionalism would be our first show. If a person is a bad example of professionalism they do whatever they need to get by and that’s all.

Professionalism is conducting yourself with respect and dignity. Meeting deadlines does have an impact on whether or not you're viewed as "professional," but you can be professional without being a strict business man/woman. You can still be goofy, but if you stick to what you're supposed to do, respect others, and respect yourself, you'll begin to create a professional view of yourself. I feel like everyone has different definitions of professionalism, and that shows that different people view professionalism differently, so there really is not one way to define professionalism.

Unprofessionalism is the complete opposite, obviously. Having tons of disrespect and disregard is not professional. If you can't accept others opinions without being mean about disagreeing, how can one possibly see you as professional? Impossible.
