The choices of a few affect many...
Cameras (RamTV or small LMC video cameras) will no longer leave campus as a result of what did not happen last night.
Please respond.
The agenda for the day is as follows:
There will be no talking.
You may not sit with another student today.
After you complete this blog
you will write a two page double spaced paper expressing what could have happened last night, worse case scenio.
Once that paper is finalized, please it to your H:/ drive and print a hard copy and turn it in to L.
Once you have finished that paper please use your time wisely, you may work on script writing or homework for another class.
There will be no talking during this period. (this has been mentioned a few times....)

point blank. things got messed up. certain parties were trying to go out and film, regardless of what they were going to do before and after, they were going to work. i understand that the parties concerned were going to take part in illegal activities, that makes sense to me. I do personally think that the powers that be have somewhat overreacted due to the events in question. maybe a non-release of cameras to the students as individuals. but i do not see how it should affect the entire school based on a botched plan that was, in my opinion, wired from the start.
as far as "the actions of a few affect many" that's plain cause and effect. we've been learning that the entire time, i think that if the parties in question knew the consequences of their actions, they would've done their things on their own time, and not when we had a job to do.

well we were going to film the mcadinvle lights, sorry don't how to spell it. From what i understand word got around that we may be doing some stuff we shouldn't and word got around about it. I know i was just planing on film and looking that its. but the admistration thought otherwise, so i guess they are justified in what they did.
Last night was supposed to be just five RamTV students hanging out. We were supposed to film the Christmas Lights.Things got blown out of proportion and I'm angry because my integrity was questioned by my parents and by others. Someone said that we were to be doing something bad but we just planned to film the lights.
For the camera situation I don't know why that rule wasn't already put into play because anybody could break the cameras or do anything around the cameras since the school has had them.
I think that regardless of what the individuals were going to do before or after usage of cameras is not really important. Say what you want, but it was just five friends hanging out and then film the lights in McAdenville. As the driver of the other four, I would hope that no one would ever assume that I would partake in such an action anyways. I’m upset with this situation, my morality being questioned and also being threatened with drug tests, and I just think the whole thing went completely wrong. I also think that the punishment is in no way fair. You stated “the choices of few affect many,” and it happens a lot in life. However, I don’t find it particularly right in this situation. The other people in the class who are scratching their heads at this situation have no reason to be in on the punishment, as they were not informed in the first place. Also, I’m not clear on whether it goes for the whole school, then that would definitely not be fair. However, as you say, it is what it is.
I am highly disappointed that neither us nor anyone else in the school will be able to take cameras off campus anymore. Last night as far as I know we were planning to go film McCadenville, I can only speak for myself and say, that is all I was planning on doing. It is very upsetting when something like this happens, becasue anyone can easily be confused when they hear something and one little thing can hurt a lot of peoples reputations.
When I sit here and think about (or look, as I’m doing now) the current show’s line up, and then think upon this new edict, I enter a state of ‘vexation.’ I use this word for one simple reason, it spans the emotional range from irritated to upset. We have at least one thing slotted for off-campus filming, and now, due to this regretful occurrence, filming away from the school is basically impossible. The fact of the matter is this: a bad example was set, and now we have to figure out how to still complete our obligations with fewer resources. Yet another cliff front on this mountain called RamTV.
I'm going to make a simple comment. Stuff happens. This certain "stuff' has affected the RamTV class in a drastic way as we can't take cameras off of campus. This choice has affected not only RamTV, but it possibly affected the whole school. Taking cameras off of campus made it easier for us to film off campus activities, and now we either can't do it, or we have to use our own equipment. This also gave RamTV a bad image as well. After a few close calls, our class had a few scandalous moments this year, and the event that I will refer to as "the night that never happened" will only make the administrators and of course Mr. Wingfield put a bigger magnifying glass on any activity that we must do. I'm actually kind of happy that this night didn't take place. This fun night riding through McAdenville could have possibly taken a fatal turn and we would've been mourning five great students. The effect that this would have had on the school would've been devastating. I consider my fellow RamTV classmates my friends, and I would've been heartbroken if something horrible had happened to them.
I also feel for next semester's RamTV class. We have screwed up a few times during this semester, and it seems like next semester may have a harder time due to our actions.
