I think we really have it together now for LIVE Daily. We have a hold on things and everyone knows when to get ready and what they are doing. Also everyone has allready found their "niche" so we know what were good at or what we like to do and that sets us up for a good live daily broadcast.
Our broadcasts now compared to our earlier ones are better to me because we now know what were doing. Everyone has their place now. After doing live daily almost every day since we started this class we have tried different jobs and learned how to do most of them but we always come back to the one that we like the most and that calls for a good show.
I think everyone knows what they're doing now that we've had pretty much a whole semester to practice for the final ones. There's been a lot of improvement on the choreography of the video switching, and the anchors look like they MAY be talking to the students! :P
We've always done great with LIVE, but we have been getting better along the way as well.
I'm so glad to be done with live. We've been doing good with it, but some people aren't where they need to be when they need to be here, and sometimes we're all a little late on preparing for it in general. Aside from that I don't have much to say about it We've done a great job with it this semester, which is more than what last semester can say, at least without using profanity.
Live daily to me at first was such a pain. It restricted our time to work on things for the final show. But after doing it for a while I realized that the show is important part of our school. We are responsible for keeping the student body informed through the show, and the more experience we got the better the show turned out to be. The very first broadcast were better than expected. We had few errors and as time went on had less and less. I'm not at all saying it was perfect becasue it wasn't, but we put forth quite an effort.
OLIVIA- Live daily has been all around succesful we have only had a few mistakes but not many nothing terrible. Live is so much more laid back from the beginning of the year though which isn't a bad thing because if it wasn't then everyone would be stressing and we would all hate each other a lot more than already.. but we have all found our certain things about live that make everything easier. Everyone is comfortable in their own jobs and now that we know how to do all of them working in one and mastering it has helped.
It was just as memorable as the first one! One big thing I did notice was that we had our anchors smiling and were communicating easily and clearly. The first few live shows were definitely amazing but it was those in between where we had the best learning experiences. I think the majority learned how to smile and be comfortable in front of the camera, even Janel, which was the biggest surprise!
I wasn't there to see the whole set up but moments before we were about to be live I could definitely feel ease in the room. In the beginning the whole room would become tense, something you could notice because of all the silence.
For the first year of live ram daily, it's been an amazing one. I (word not as strong as hate) that we didn't do our weather segment with our newfound live abilities but I'm sure next year will reap the benefits of Bryanne Robbin's discovery :D
The biggest frustration that occured with live daily was that it wasn't widely viewed even though so much effort was being put into it. I hope that by the time the next school year begins, that many of the items on the wish list are in the studio ready for another amazing year of live. Continuance is going to give life to the daily show as so many bumps have already been experienced by our guinea pig class.
Live Daily started out very intimidating and challenging and now I think most people see it as just an easy end to the last 20 minutes of their day.. I enjoyed doing Live Daily each day because I really noticed the progression. We set the bar really high on our first show and we continued to meet our standard.
There is a few thing that I'm kinda disappointed with was the lack of a 2nd camera for nearly half of the live broadcasts. With 2 cameras, live is much more challenging for the director but it makes the show so much better. You are able to clearly see the anchors faces and I think we could have achieved a lot cooler camera angles if we still had 2 cameras. I wish we could have found the time to experiment with Live and see just how awesome and interesting we could have made it. I think then most of the student body would look forward to it.
At first Live Daily was one of the most stressful things that you could ever do in your whole life. Now I feel like its just something that I am supposed to do everyday. Its pretty much lax and chill and everyone knows what they are doing now, and I like that.
Even changing jobs everyweek is no longer a big deal, its just "hey, this is what is gonna happen" and it happens homie.
But on the real tip I like that we can just interchange jobs like if someone has to leave for a game or has mono or something loll. Everyone can fill in for each other and get that ish done.
Its like team and everyone is a utility player, so everyone can shoot, everyone is fast, everyone can play defense. I guess what im tryign to say is that now it just works and its all like 2nd Nature to da squad!
Live Ram Daily was hard at first because I did'nt know what to expect and I was'nt completly sure what my job was. I remember that I was so nervous about being anchor when I came in on the first day of class. I thought that people volunteered to be on camera but little did I know that everybody had to do every job available. Now that Live Daily is over I realized that I freaked out for nothing.
I think that everybody found the job that they had a niche for. My favorite jobs were camera, telepropter and anchor.
I think that we really improved on our Live Daily skill towards the end of the class. Eveyone knows what their supposed to do and It was pretty much a no brainer.
I really enjoyed doing live daily, because before this broadcast I would freak out about being on camera and being anchor, but now I really don't care, if the job needs to be done then I just need to suck it up and do it.
I think we started out with an amazing first show and we really set our personal bar way way up there. I'm proud to say we didn't have one show with no sound or technical difficulties DURING THE BROADCAST, to my knowledge. I think that in itself was an accomplishment compared to last semester. Our class has kind of set a standard for next years live broadcast in my opinion. I feel like the middle six weeks we kind of got lazy about Live and found it overwhelming to juggle that and the monthly show but we did it. I don't really have complaints about it, I learned a lot.
the process of live daily starts at 3 when everybody comes to the broadcasting room. then you report to your assigned stations for the week. once you are in your stations you do your job for the show so it can get done succesfully. when we first started our live broadcasts we as a class were nervous and worried about messing up. i think since we have the experience that the show is now just a breeze and takes only 15 minutes for us to set up versus the whole 30 minutes it used to take us. once you get some experience doing the show it becomes easy and not a big deal

LIVE isn't intimidating anymore! :D

Wait I need examples
Like just this week I went from the Video Switcher Mondayand Tuesday
to being an anchor on Wednesday and Thursday.
My girl P.Loggy needed a fill in and I was willing to help, so we did that switcheroo and made it do what it do. Because that is how we roll.
